The Gembro is a small Albergo type hotel very well located near to the centre of the historic Valtellina town of Sondrio.
Our rooms are simple and clean and very good value for money.

We are very well known for the high standard of the food served in our restaurant. You can sample the delights of the very best of the Valtellina Cusine. This dish in the photograph is Pizzoccheri a type of Buckwheet pasta cooked with greens, potato and Casera cheese.

Our restaurant seats up to 80 covers and is busy and lively with locals and tourists alike.

We have 12 rooms situated over three floors. Each rooms has it's own wash basin but the bathroom and W.C. are located comunually on each floor.
The rooms and bathrooms are kept clean and are well maintained.
It's not luxury travel, but it's clean and if you are looking for a flavour of 'real Italy' this is the place for you.
