The Gembro is a clean and inexpensive place to stay located very close to the centre of Sondrio.
With a one star Hotel (Albergo) rating we are not the luxury option.  
We do offer great value for money and our restaurant serves delicious food and wine and is always busy with locals and travelers alike. 

There aren't many hotels in Sondrio as close to the town centre as The Gembro.   

We have 12 rooms comprising six singles and six doubles laid over the 1st and 2nd floor.
Our rooms are clean and simple but do not have ensuite bathrooms, there is however a wash basin and mirror in each room.  Each floor has a communal bathroom.
We wish sometime soon to add ensuite bathrooms but at the time of writing this is not the case. You will pay much more for this facility elsewhere in the town but you will miss the real Sondrio 'atmosphere' that can only be found here at The Gembro.

We serve a full menu for lunch and dinner six days a week. On sundays the restaurant is closed and we go walking and cycling in the mountains, maybe we will see you up there?
